Impact Teams

Each year, Kids Around the World sends teams composed of playground builders, play relief teachers, and many others who connect with and assist those in need. Teamwork on the mission field is crucial in demonstrating genuine love to the local community, as well as how healthy relationships can accomplish positive change, forever impacting a nation for Christ. Team members also express life transformation as they engage poor, war-torn communities around the world, overflowing in the love that the Father has for the precious individuals living there.

Trip Info: Montego Bay area of Jamaica in March!  We are looking for a team who loves to bless kids at a school in one of the poorer areas of Montego Bay.  Flankers school is filled with smiling, active, fun-loving kids and dedicated teachers – what they are missing is a PLAYGROUND!  We will fly in on a Sunday, build their new playground, pour out love to the children and share God’s transforming hope with them.  We will also have a chance to enjoy some time exploring one of the many popular sites, (like Dunn’s River Falls, or Dolphin Cove), and return home on Saturday.  Our hotel includes a nice pool and some exploration paths up the side of the hill.

Local Partner Info: Embracing Orphans in our key partner in Jamaica, opening doors for us to help impact kids’ lives all over the island.  They knew of this need and helped us develop this wonderful opportunity.  We would love to have you join us!

Trip Info: Join us for this special trip as KIDS President, Jim Rosene, shares global trends and the challenges children are facing around the world, along with the incredible opportunities for transformation God is putting in front of us.

We will head to Jericho where we will work together with Seeds of Hope to build a playground for the kids. Located in the Jordan Valley, this desert town is surrounded by ancient history. Seeds of Hope is committed to meeting the needs of the community of Jericho. Through the meeting of the simplest needs they are able to communicate the love of Christ.

Local Partner Info:  Founded in 2008, Seeds of Hope works with local citizens and charities to make a difference in the lives of children and families throughout the Middle East. Their long term desire is to bring positive change to impoverished communities through education, economic development, cultural exchange, and humanitarian aid.

Trip Info: We are excited to be traveling back to the southern Moldovan community of Conshtangalia to build another playground.This playground will be at a center for children hosting an after school program reaching the children for Christ.. With such a small population, the playground will have an impact on the entire town in astonishing ways. This opportunity to build in Europe does not come around too often, so make sure you sign up early and reserve your spot.

Local Partner Info:  Having seen the impact of playgrounds around the globe, one of our regular volunteers helped us put together this trip, which will build a community park in the village she spend portions of her childhood. This beautiful gesture perfectly captures the heart of Kids Around the World. The promise of generational hope and joy have the local mayor and entire town anticipating the arrival and installation of yet another beautiful playground.

Trip Info: We are excited to be taking a team to Naba Safa, Lebanon! Orphaned, or unable to stay in their homes for various reason, a group of young ladies (ages 4-14) are able to find a safe haven to grow up at the Beit El Safa Girls home.

Our Impact Team volunteers, in partnership with Reach Global, will work during the day to build a playground and help with various projects on the property which is also used as a camp in the summer time. Evenings will be spent getting to know the girls, spending time ministering in Bible study, crafts, etc. – sharing the hope we have with them, even as we learn from them. Won’t you join us?

Trip Info: Bistrita, Romania is nestled in the foothills of northern Romania, in the Transylvania territory.  Filled with deep history and warm friendly people, we will get to experience the joy of building a playground, installing a volleyball court and setting up soccer goals to bless kids who come to Camp Hope each summer.  This camp is also going to be home of a university seminary in the near future.  So students with families will be able to enjoy the equipment year round.  In our free time we will get to see some of the beautiful countryside and explore some of the rich heritage of Bastrita and the surrounding area.

Local Partner Info: There is Hope Foundation has spent over 20 years building and developing Camp Hope – a part of the Golgotha Foundation in Northern Romania.  This camp currently brings in over 500 kids each year to share God’s love and bring them hope, in a region that is in great need of both.

Trip Info: This is an amazing opportunity to join our partner, Children’s HopeChest in Lesibovu, Swaziland. As a team we will be helping to bring transformation to the children and families of this community. Our project will enable Children’s HopeChest to better meet the physical and spiritual needs of this community. We will be providing a safe play space for children at a CarePoint. This CarePoint meets the most basic needs for these families.

Local Partner Info: Children’s HopeChest exists to glorify God by releasing the potential of orphaned and vulnerable children and their communities through partnerships that cultivate holistic transformation and sustainability.

Trip Info: Over the past 10 years we have worked in the “unchurched” areas of Ecuador.  Come join us on this trip as we engage another community by working with its children through a playground and kids programs.  You will love this church planting model and fall in love with our local staff and the people we are serving.  This is also a great trip for families with small children!  So come as a family and help transform a community!

Local Partner Info:  Kids Around the World has operated a local office in Ecuador since 2007.  In that time we have trained 1,000’s of teachers, built over 20 playgrounds, planted 9 churches and responded to relief opportunities all over the country.  Our work in Ecuador focuses on children being the key agent of change in the community and resourcing them means transforming the community!

Trip Info: Come join us in Peru as we serve our local church partner in Lima.  Camino de Vida church is a vibrant church serving Lima for over 25 years.  Our team will go to encourage the church and serve their surrounding community by building a playground and doing children’s outreach.  You will love working with the people and serving the gracious Peruvians.

Local Partner Info:  Camino de Vida church has been serving Lima and Peru for decades.  One of their biggest gifts to Peru has been their outreach focus to the poor in the country.  With monthly teams and weekly programs, they have been sharing God’s love to Peruvians in a real and tangible way that has supported the local church tremendously.  caminodevida.com

Trip Info: This team will build a playground for the children of the Mountain View School in Kingston, Jamaica, in partnership with Food for the Poor.  The team will stay at the beautiful Rafjam Bed & Breakfast in Irishtown, Jamaica, about 45 minutes from Kingston in the  mountains. We will travel daily to the work site, and conduct ministry outreach with our partner, Embracing Orphans.  There will also be a day of excursion fun before returning home.

Local Partner Info: Food for the Poor is our partner on this project. They provide meals for thousands of children around Jamaica, and have selected Mountain View School in Kingston to receive this playground.

Trip Info: Although the landscape and wildlife of Cape Town, South Africa is beautiful, the living conditions for millions in the surrounding townships is not. We have an opportunity to make an impact in the townships of Paarl, a community where children are abandoned by their parents and where hope has worn thin. Join us in an amazing effort to distribute food to hungry children, build a playground and train children’s workers to share the stories of Jesus with children. You will come back with a huge heart for the amazing people of Paarl!

Local Partner Info:  Monte Christo Miqlat’s mission is to sustainably help and empower those in their community who are in need. They work to address the root of poverty in their communities, assisting the needy to experience healthy, fulfilling lives, both physically and spiritually.
